My sensor won't pair, what should I do?

If your CGM isn’t pairing, don’t worry, this usually comes down to a small setting or detail that’s easy to fix. Here’s a quick checklist to help you get connected.

1. Make sure Bluetooth is on

Pairing can’t start without Bluetooth, so double-check that it’s enabled on your iPhone:
Settings → Bluetooth → On

2. Re-enter the serial number

The serial number needs to match exactly what’s printed on the sensor packaging.
A single mistyped digit can stop the pairing process, so it’s worth taking a second look.

3. Keep your phone close

Make sure your phone is within 3–10 feet (1–3 meters) of the sensor. Being too far away, or having walls in between, can interrupt the signal.

4. Restart the app

Sometimes the simplest fix works best. Close the Nico app completely, reopen it, and try pairing again.

5. Check that your sensor is properly applied

Make sure the sensor is firmly attached to your skin and hasn’t lifted at the edges. If the sensor isn’t making good contact, the device may struggle to connect.

6. Check device compatibility

Make sure your sensor is on our approved compatibility list. If it’s not listed, pairing may not work reliably.
