What if my sensor falls of early?

If your CGM sensor comes off before the expected wear period, don’t worry - it can happen for several reasons, such as sweat, friction, or adhesive issues.

Here’s what to do

  • Check your sensor placement. Make sure the area was clean, dry, and free of lotions or oils before applying your next sensor.

  • Contact Nico Support. If your sensor detached early, reach out to us at [email protected]. Please include:

    • The date you applied the sensor

    • The date it came off

    • Any photos (if possible) showing the issue

  • Do not reapply the same sensor. Once removed, it cannot be reused or safely reattached. Please make sure to dispose of it.

  • Apply a new sensor once our team confirms next steps. We’ll help you troubleshoot and discuss possible replacement options.

💡 Tip: To help your next sensor stay on longer, make sure the site is fully dry before application and consider using patches or medical adhesive if you’re active or perspire often.
