Tips for the first week

Your first week with Nico is all about getting familiar with your sensor, understanding your glucose patterns, and building a comfortable routine. You don’t need to change everything at once, this week is about learning, not perfection

Let the sensor warm up

After applying your sensor, it needs 45–60 minutes before data appears in the app.
Use this time to explore the app and understand the dashboard.

Eat as you normally do

Don’t change your diet just yet. The goal is to capture your baseline patterns so your coach can learn how your body responds to your usual meals, snacks, and routines.

Pay attention to trends, not single spikes

A spike doesn’t mean you did something “wrong.” Glucose naturally rises after meals, stress, or activity. Focus on the overall shape of your curve, not individual moments.

Experiment gently

Try small experiments like:

  • Swapping order of foods (protein first)

  • Going for a light walk after meals

  • Adding water before eating

These help you learn without overwhelming you.

Expect a little learning curve

It’s normal if:

  • Your sensor feels new

  • Your readings fluctuate

  • You’re unsure what a spike means

Everything becomes easier by week two as you see more patterns emerge.

💡Tip:
Stay curious. Think of this week as a personal science experiment rather than a test. The more you observe without judgement, the more useful your long-term habits will become.
